Voice over - Rise of the footsoldier

Voice over analysis – Rise of the Footsoldier

If I analyse a voice over of a trailer then I feel we would be more confident on how we should do ours. When watching this one I noticed that there is the main character talking, other characters talking and a narrator talking. With a range of voices It could make the trailer more interesting. Extracts from the film have been put in the trailer as a voice over but the narrator does describe what the film is about. I feel if we have a voice over in ours, it could help describe the trailers storyline easier but I feel we should not have a voice over the throughout the whole of the trailer. Non- diegetic sounds like music are being played throughout the trailer. Diegetic sounds have been added when there is no-one speaking, e.g. weapons being used and cars crashing, this is a brilliant way of breaking up the trailer so the storyline is clearer.
